Keshavraj Temple, Dapoli

Over 5,000 years ago, the Pandavas from the Mahabharata are believed to have built the magnificent Keshavraj Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu who appeared as Keshavraj.

Legends say the temple was constructed overnight with the help of celestial beings, while other sources suggest it was established during the Peshwa era.

Located 7 km from Dapoli in the Konkan region, the temple can be reached via a short trek through lush forest with mango, coconut, arecanut, and cashew trees, and gurgling streams. The nearby Keshav Kund, a natural stream flowing from Gomukh, adds to the temple's charm.

This tranquil retreat offers a perfect blend of spirituality and nature, providing a rejuvenating experience for all who visit.
